After modeling on the body of the patient the thickness stays the same throughout the entire precut.

Cutting, bonding & fastening

Cutting: May be cut when hot or cold with scissors or knife. May be drilled with power or hand tools at a LOW speed (to prevent gumming).

Bonding: Self adhesive when hot.

Fastening: Velcro, rivets, etc. No solvents needed!

Finishing

Edges can be easily smoothened with fingertips.

Major modifications can be made with heat gun.

Possibility to mechanically grind or buff for quick finishing (use moderate speed)

Note

When using hot water, -- place a piece of greased paper at the bottom of the bath. Advantages:

a) to prevent the material from sticking

b) to prevent direct contact with the hot water, remove the splint out of the bath (together with the paper).
